Expanding our stable of international colleagues, Oliver is originally from Heidelberg, Germany, and took the trip across the Atlantic when he was hired on by Tesla to participate in their laser and metal fabrication efforts. He kickstarted his career with a three-year apprenticeship in sheet metal fabrication and eventually moved to operating laser machinery, programming, and running various equipment.

The precision of lasers betrays Oliver’s artistic side. He was introduced to photography through a colleague in Germany and likes to shoot portraits, landscapes, and macro photography. Of course, he can’t escape his work completely and enjoys tinkering at home in his garage shop, making gifts for others, and even building a wedding arch for his wedding. You can occasionally find him off-roading in his Jeep in the Hollister Hills.
